ST. LOUIS –People who live, work, travel or visit Route 30 (Gravois Avenue) in the city of St. Louis are invited to share their thoughts about the corridor in an upcoming public meeting.
The meeting will take place on March 3, 2026, from 4-7 p.m. at the Five Star Senior Center, 2832 Arsenal St, St. Louis, MO, 63118. There is no formal presentation, so attendees are welcome to attend any time.
The public meeting will share information about how Gravois in the City of St. Louis looks, functions, and feels today, and gather information from the public about safety concerns. Feedback from residents, businesses, and people who travel along Gravois will help shape the project by participating in the planning study, as part of a future pavement resurfacing project scheduled for 2029.
“As MoDOT plans for repaving work, we want to make sure to understand the vision and goals of Gravois Avenue users and enhance safety for all,” said Jen Wade, MoDOT area engineer for the city of St. Louis. “This project opens a window to look in-depth at Gravois and consider a wider range of options. We encourage people on Gravois to be involved early and often to ensure that plans help meet the future roadway envisioned by the people who live, work, and play here.”
Gravois Avenue is a 5.7-mile corridor through the city of St. Louis that serves many neighborhoods and users. This planning study will examine current roadway conditions, traffic patterns, and crash history to identify opportunities to reduce crashes and improve safety.
Community involvement will be central to the process, with multiple opportunities for public input as the study moves forward.
The meeting is open to the public, and all are encouraged to attend. Project updates and information about future meetings will be shared as the study progresses.
People who require reasonable accommodation to fully participate in this event can contact Andrew Gates before Thursday, February 26 at Andrew.Gates@modot.mo.gov or call or text 314-223-8003.
For those who are unable to attend the meeting in person, the information shared during the meeting as well as a survey form will be available at Missouri Route 30 (Gravois) Pavement Resurfacing and Safety Improvements in St. Louis City | Missouri Department of Transportation on the day of the meeting. People are welcome to view the information and provide comments about the project until Tuesday, March 17.
